This was just a quick little experimental sprite I did late last night. I'd never actually done sprite work despite doing so much pixel art, so this was a fun change of pace. I figured I'd use Dwight for this since he has a fairly simplistic design that I thought would translate well into pixel art of this scale. There are a few timing issues and I think he leans back a bit too much, but otherwise I'm pretty pleased with the way this turned out.

I think he's a bit stiff in the arms, but it's not bad overall.

Funny, I'm kind of in the opposite situation.  At this point I've done sprite work but no pixel art! :D

While the animation in the legs is great, the whole upper body is slightly boring to look at.

He could use a bit more up/down motion in his gait, I think, as he looks kinda like he's doing a rollstep instead of walking normally. Still, the movement of the legs is wonderfully smooth C:

I tried adding more vertical motion, actually, but I don't think I executed it very well because it ended up looking waaay too exaggerated. I think I'll have to fiddle with this kind of animation a bit more to get a better hang of it lol.

Walking animations are honestly really tricky to pull off. Too much bounce and they're like jello jiggling everywhere, too little and they're robots. You'll get the hang of it, though C:
