I had quite a bit of extra time at the end of my digital animation class a couple weeks ago, so I drew this in Flash. I'd forgotten what it's like to draw with a mouse, so this took some getting used to.
Hmmmmm Just draw whenever you get the opportunity and try to learn how to use at least one drawing program inside and out. It's good to dabble, but make sure you become super-comfortable with using at least one program. Other than that, it's not really learning "digital-only" techniques that's important; the key is to practice basic principles of art that can be applied to any medium. Value, form, light, movement, color, shape, line, texture, proportion-- all that stuff is important and vital when learning how to make digital art.
